A pump track in Dijon before 2024

The followers of BMX or of skate board will be delighted. Among the six sports projects selected by the city of Dijon is the creation of a pump track, ie a closed-loop course made up of several consecutive bumps and banked turns.

This equipment will complete the activity offer of the street area of ​​the outdoor skate park located on the Plaine des Sports in Dijon. It is thanks to the “Terre de Jeux 2024” label and the designation of Dijon as an Olympic preparation center that six facilities for residents will see the light of day.

Apart from this track, it is also planned:

  • The installation of a new “3×3” basketball court on the ground near the COSEC room
  • Renovation of the Ruisseau de la Source “3×3” basketball court
  • The transformation of a “5×5” basketball court at the Paul Doumer stadium
  • The installation of a Street workout area (outdoor gymnastics and bodybuilding)
  • The transformation of the Lac Kir basketball court and the creation of an art fresco on the ground

The total cost of this equipment, which should see the light of day before the 2024 Olympics, is estimated at 700,000 euros.

The proposal is submitted to the vote of the elected officials of the Dijon municipal council which meets in session this Monday, June 27.
