The formation of the prosecutorial team was ordered after the manifestation of the victim’s relatives, friends and colleagues yesterday in view of the slowness in the investigation to clarify the crime. The relatives also met with the Deputy Prosecutor to demand greater management in the investigative task.

Initially, the investigations were under the sole direction of prosecutor Duarte Céspedes, who was criticized by family members for the lack of results in the case.
The lawyer Cynthia Lisboa, daughter of the murdered lawyer, mentioned that the last diligence practiced in the case dates from January 20 and since then the investigation has been paralyzed. “There is no will on the part of the Prosecutor’s Office, not only from Liliana Duarte, but also from Deputy Humberto Rosetti. The perpetrators of the crime mobilized in a Toyota car, presumably Allion, silver-colored and without plate, with tinted windows. An unknown person got off the car and started a conversation with the victim until he drew a firearm and shot him. Then, he boarded the vehicle in which his accomplices were waiting for him and fled the scene.
At first the suspicions pointed to the lawyer Erico Ramírez, who maintained a marked enmity with the fatal victim and both were reported for assaults in the Prosecutor’s Office. But they found no incriminating evidence against Ramírez.
