The face of the Pirates of the Caribbeanmovies is without a doubt Johnny Depp. With the first film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl from 2003, the actor played the role of captain Jack Sparrow five times. From now on, Margot Robbie must become the eye-catcher.
Yesterday it was announced that a second film in the franchise is in development. This movie is currently the most likely to be made first, with Robbie supposedly as the character Red. This will be a completely new story, with new characters and thus without Depp’s Jack Sparrow.

No date has yet been set for the sixth part. It seems unlikely that the film will go into production soon, as the story has yet to be written. At the earliest, we will see the film in the cinema in the summer of 2023.
