– A Person Hit by Train Disrupts Nottingham to London Route

Disruption ⁣to east ⁤Midlands Railway Services Following Incident


Train Services Disrupted Between Leicester ⁢and‌ Kettering

East midlands Railway (EMR) reported a major incident this​ morning,December 6th,resulting⁤ in significant disruption to services. At 12:18 PM, EMR announced that a person had been struck⁤ by a train between leicester and Kettering.

The incident is impacting⁤ travel on ⁤both the London St Pancras/Nottingham/Sheffield route and⁢ the London St pancras/luton Airport Parkway/Corby route.⁣ Currently, trains are unable to run ⁣in either direction ⁢on ‍the intercity ​line through the affected⁣ area.

Services on the ‘Connect’ route are ⁣also experiencing ⁢alterations, due to train crew displacement and limited route availability. Passengers‍ should expect short-notice changes to their travel plans.

Line Reopening Expected by 3 PM

Network Rail and‍ emergency services are currently on site managing the situation. EMR anticipates the line will reopen within the next three hours.⁤ The⁢ railway aims to ⁤restore the advertised timetable on affected routes by ​3:00 PM ‌(15:00).
