Participant the eighth season of the show “Voice” on Channel One, Yves Nabiev reacted to criticism of mentors Konstantin Meladze and Sergei Shnurov.
In the semi-finals of the contest, the singer performed in an unexpected role, singing a song by Valentina Tolkunova, “Talk to Me, Mom.” Accustomed to the tearful performance of songs by Nabiev, some mentors did not appreciate the calm image created by Yves on stage.

In particular, the producer of the VIA Gra group, Konstantin Meladze, considered that Nabiev was somewhat “out of reach”. But Sergei Shnurov did not like the appearance of the musician, he felt that the snappy mustache of the artist was out of place here.
“I absolutely disagree with Konstantin Meladze. In my opinion, everything turned out and it turned out very honestly, I regard his criticism as a provocation in order to eliminate my opponent. Strongly disagree with Shnurov’s nit-picking. Following his logic, mustachioed people hatched from an egg and they have no mother. And with a suit, in my opinion everything is fine, ”Yves wrote on his blog.
According to the musician, he appeared on stage as he is – without theatrical masks. However, in the finale, the artist decided to still perform with something more energetic.
