A pandemic that did not exist: why Russia’s oldest virologist does not believe in it

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Felix Ershov summed up the first results of Covid-19 infection in the world

– Felix Ivanovich, could you call COVID-19 a pandemic?

– Many independent experts, doctors and scientists claim that there was no COVID-19 pandemic. It is increasingly insisted that the danger of Covid-19 disease is greatly exaggerated, and over the past six months it did not go beyond the normal level of epidemics, and was no more than other viruses. It should be added that the vast majority (81%) of cases of Covid-19 passed without severe symptoms or with very moderate manifestations.

– And what should be the indicators for pandemics?

– Two main indicators are known – this is morbidity and mortality. According to international rules, in case of a pandemic, there should be at least 5% of the population, and mortality should be from 1%. It is easy to count that in our time, with a full-fledged pandemic in the world, about 400 million people should be infected, and about 80 million should die! Such were the pandemics of the past – smallpox, measles, influenza, AIDS and others that claimed tens of millions of lives. The flu, which was called “Spanish”, in 1920, every third inhabitant of the planet became infected. About 100 million people died. That really was a pandemic.

– How many became infected and died from the cove?

– Allegedly infected 11 million. 500 thousand died. To date, the number of coronaviruses infected in the world is 40 times less, and the number of deaths is 150 times less in comparison with the pandemic benchmarks.

And for several months, because of the coronavirus, other diseases seemed to cease to exist for us. And look how people were dying, while we scared each other with a “crown”. take a list of the main causes of death in the world for the first three months of 2020 (official data):

140,584 – malaria

153 696 – suicide

193 479 – accident

240,950 – HIV

358,471 – Alcoholism

716,498 – smoking

1.177.141 – oncological diseases

1,200,000 – cardiovascular disease

– Why did the panic so unusual in scale arise?

– At the end of January, when the story with coronaviruses was just beginning, the famous video from Wuhan appeared, where people infected with the coronavirus fall dead on the streets. This video has been replicated and repeatedly shown to millions of viewers. It is clear that in order to make such a staged video, you need to prepare movie equipment in advance and wait for the moment when the imaginary patients fall dead in the right place. I am sure this first fake was that match in the fire, which was the beginning of the panic that arose.

The media wrote and talked about the ongoing pandemic so actively that WHO was forced to announce it on March 11th. The panic increased, and the reaction of the population of all countries was quite predictable and adequate – people began to buy for the future products, first and second necessities, up to toilet paper.

– People were stressed …

— That’s it. This panic, according to psychologists, was no less terrible than the disease itself. The countries of the world have closed borders, declared quarantines, imposed fines, passes, self-isolation, and other restrictions. As a result, the psychology of people has noticeably changed — people have stopped leaving the house, at meetings they shied away from each other. Many fell into hysteria and considered even a slight runny nose as a sign of imminent death. Yes, there was certainly a coronavirus, but we were put home just because healthcare was not ready to treat us. In many cities, after optimizing healthcare, there are not even any infectious departments left.

– What are the true causes of death from COVID-19?

– From all over the planet, signals are being received about falsifying diagnoses to dead people in order to achieve high mortality rates from COVID-19. As is well known, with age the “bouquet” of chronic diseases inevitably grows. Suffice it to recall diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, chronic diseases of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts, liver, kidneys and further on the list. Naturally, the “risk group” was primarily the generation of older people over 70-80 years old, the mortality rate among which was especially high. People who supposedly die from COVID-19 are essentially the ones who statistically will inevitably die this year because they have reached the end of their lives and their weakened organisms can no longer cope with almost any viral load, including COVID- nineteen.

– Could coronavirus be created artificially in a laboratory?

– There is evidence that US virologists created and handed over to China a “chimera” from China’s bat virus and the previously known virus that caused SARS in 2002. This new virus was able to infect human respiratory tract cells and cause pneumonia. Now a very popular version is that the outbreak in Wuhan could be related to the leak of this new virus from the laboratory. The other day, WHO sent a team of specialists to China to deal with the true cause of the pandemic on the spot.

– Why were no conclusions made about serious outbreaks of coronavirus infections of the past?

– For 20 years of the XXI century, coronaviruses, figuratively speaking, twice “showed teeth.” The first virus appeared in 2002 and caused an outbreak of SARS, a severe acute respiratory syndrome called “SARS”. The infection quickly spread from southern China to nearly 30 countries. In total, more than 8 thousand people were then infected, and 774 died. Mortality worldwide amounted to about 10%. The second virus made itself felt 10 years later, in 2012, it caused an epidemic of MERS – the “Middle East respiratory syndrome”, which was called “camel flu” in the Western press. He affected mainly the Arab countries. There were not many infected, but the infection was much more deadly than SARS – 40% of those infected died.

The third coronavirus caused COVID-19, which was not so dangerous, but unlike the previous two, a global epidemic that covered, in fact, all countries of the world … For almost 20 years that have passed before the start of COVID-19, there was enough time for creating vaccines and effective etiotropic drugs against coronaviruses. This time has been lost.

– The vaccine was never created without emphasizing the severity of the coronaviruses …

– Therefore, global health was not ready for an epidemic that had already begun. Moreover, for two months, WHO hid the possibility of transmission of coronavirus from person to person. Expensive time was lost, and the virus went uncontrollably for a walk around the planet. This was a serious mistake of WHO, the result of which we are reaping today.
