A number of survivors of COVID-19 experience insomnia and depression

Liputan6.com, Jakarta COVID-19 survivors have a natural risk of psychiatric problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, insomnia, and depression. This was revealed in a study in Milan, Italy that was published recently.

In a survey conducted at San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, more than half survivor COVID-19 involved, which is 402 people have one of the mental disorders above. There were 265 men and 137 women who were monitored after being discharged from the hospital for one month to find out their mental health.

From the results of examinations of clinical interviews and answering questionnaires, there are 28 percent who experience PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) or post-traumatic stress disorder that is a mental disorder that arises after a person experiences a traumatic event.

Then, 31 percent experienced depression, 42 percent of participants experienced anxiety and there were 40 percent experienced insomnia.
