In its strategy of fighting against terrorist networks wanting to shake the stability of the kingdom of Morocco, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) under the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) dismantled, on Tuesday, a terrorist cell with four members.
Thanks to solid information received from precise information, the band operating in and around Nador was able to be defeated. The members of this group are between 21 and 26 years old and one of them is the brother of a Daesh fighter, the press release from the Moroccan interior ministry revealed.
According to the preliminary investigation revealed by the same press release, these members of the “Islamic State” were planning terrorist attacks against important sites in the kingdom ruled by masters by King Mohammed VI.
According to the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior, these apprehended individuals were in contact with another terrorist cell, which was also dismantled on 04/12/2019 thanks to a joint operation between the Moroccan security services and those of Spain.
For the time being, the suspects have been placed, for the purposes of the investigation, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
