It is indicated that the minibus was heading to the Russian Belgorod. The accident occurred in the Rostov region, in Novoshakhtinsk between the villages of Sambek and Krasny.

At the time of the accident, the minibus had 17 passengers and two drivers. Two passengers died on the spot, later another victim died in the hospital. The victims were transferred to ambulance teams for hospitalization.

Separatist media claim that there were “DPR citizens” in the minibus.

The cause of the accident was the departure of the Mercedes-Benz Vito minibus into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a MAN truck. In total, three people died in this accident and five more were injured.
