On the morning of April 19, a military plane crashed in the Russian Stavropol Territory, reported the governor of the region, Volodymyr Vladimirov.
“A plane fell in a field on the territory of Krasnogvardiysk district. According to operational data, there was no damage or casualties, the pilots ejected,” the official wrote.
Later, Vladimirov added: “Two pilots from the plane that crashed in the Red Guard District have been found. They are alive, we are taking them to the hospital.”
The governor did not specify the model of the plane that crashed in Stavropol. Ukrainian sources write that it is about the Tu-22M3 supersonic missile carrier-bomber – it is from these that the Russian military regularly launches missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine.
Russian Telegram channels, citing the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, confirmed that it is precisely the missile carrier that is in question.
“At the time of the Tu-22M3 accident, there was no one on board. Three pilots managed to eject, two were hospitalized, one is being sought. The plane crashed while returning to the base airfield after completing a combat mission. He flew without ammunition. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense,” the Telegram channel writes Mash.
Another rocket attack was carried out during the night and morning of April 19. After that, a five-story building is on fire in Dnipro, and there is other damage to objects in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
