A man’s body produces more antibodies to corona virus than a woman

A recent study revealed that the man’s body produces more antibodies to the Corona virus compared to women, and this is necessary in order to recover from the infection or avoid infection with it in the future after recovery.

And the study published in the European Journal of Immunology, “European Journal or Eminology”, stated that seven months after infection, antibodies were observed in 90 percent of people who had “Covid 19” and then recovered from it.

And Sky News Arabia reported that the researchers indicated that the production of antibodies is not related to the issue of age, as is the case with the age factor, which makes the disease more vicious.

Academician Mark Feldwin, an expert in what is known as molecular medicine, wrote, “Our body recognizes the harmful emerging corona virus, and produces antibodies to respond to it.”

The study was conducted through serological examinations, and it began by monitoring the level of antibodies in more than 300 people from “Covid-19” patients and employees in the health sector, as well as more than 200 volunteers who had previously been infected with the epidemic.

The study continued for 6 months, and it was found that the number of antibodies rises rapidly during the first three weeks following the onset of symptoms, then decreases and stabilizes after that.

The study reported that the first response stage in the immune system, the man produces on average antibodies that exceed the production of the woman’s body, but the two levels balance at a later stage, so they become equal between the two sexes months after the infection.

The researchers said they observed greater antibody production in patients who developed more severe symptoms.

The immunity of those recovering from Corona is still a scientifically controversial issue so far, and the reason is that it has not been a year since the emergence of the virus, and therefore, it is uncertain whether the recovered will remain immune to infection for a long time.
