A man hit by a TGV in Tarn-et-Garonne, traffic interrupted between Montauban and Toulouse

Rail traffic remained completely interrupted between Montauban and Toulouse for several hours this Friday afternoon. A man was fatally hit at a level crossing by TGV to Malause, between Moissac and Valence d’Agen at 2:27 p.m. All trains had to stand still “to allow the intervention of emergency services” indicates the SNCF which specifies that “substitution buses have been put in place”. The circumstances of the tragedy have yet to be determined. The identity and age of the victim are unknown. According to our information, it could be a suicide, a witness having seen the man throw himself on the tracks at the time of the passage of the train.

Traffic resumed around 5:30 p.m.
