He knew how to achieve glory with Atlético Nacional and fiercely defend the shirt of the Colombian national team. Now, it was his turn to say enough. After 19 seasons serving football and at 38 years old, Farid Díaz made the difficult decision to hang up his boots. He announced his retirement on social networks with a moving and emotional message dedicated to all those who supported him.
Champion of the 2016 Copa Libertadores with Verdolaga, Díaz decided to end his career. And it was precisely this club that he emphasized in his statement, recalling great times and greeting the fans who cheered for him and his teammates years ago.
