A group of migrants got to Poland on an inflatable boat

48 people tried to cross the border of Poland and Belarus in 24 hours

The Polish department noted that “Belarusian services helped foreigners.” Illegals were detained.

The Polish Border Service reported on the prevention of illegal crossing of the Belarusian-Polish border, undertaken by almost 50 migrants. “Over the past day, 48 people tried to cross the border between Poland and Belarus,” the Polish border agency said on Thursday, December 23.

The border service noted that a large group of migrants from Iraq tried to get to Poland in an inflatable boat across the river. “In the area guarded by a border guard unit in the city of Krynki, a group of 24 Iraqi citizens crossed the Svisloch River in an inflatable boat towards Poland,” the message says.

The Polish department noted that “Belarusian services helped foreigners.” The migrants were detained.

Migration crisis provoked by Lukashenka

Tense the situation on the border of Belarus with Poland has been around for weeks. The West accuses the Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukashenko of deliberately bringing thousands of migrants into the country from hot spots in the Middle East for their further transfer to the EU countries. In Poland and Lithuania, because of the migration crisis provoked by Lukashenka, barbed wire fences are being erected.

In Europe, illegal migration from the territory of Belarus is called “hybrid aggression” of the Belarusian regime.

Alexander Lukashenko After a sharp international reaction to the incident with the forced landing of a Ryanair plane and the arrest of the well-known opposition leader Roman Protasevich and his girlfriend, Russian woman Sofia Sapega, announced at the end of May that now Western countries will independently exercise control over drug trafficking and illegal migration. “We stopped drugs and migrants – now you will eat and catch them yourself,” Lukashenka said then.
