From 50 to 600 quickly
The whole family then mobilized. Hermann, Germélia-Jane, Aymard, (13, 10 and 12 years old) without forgetting the young Marceau, 3 years old, helped by their mom, seamstress, started this beautiful business.
At first, about fifty masks were given to nurses, then 20 to a life support worker from the CCAS, and another 25 for the city. “Afterwards, these are people who took orders and made an appointment to have masks. The figure quickly rose to 600 generously distributed masks.
The fabric chosen according to the trade!
The little “extra” of children, “to stand out”, is to adapt the fabric according to the trade. “The masks for the shipyard were made in navy blue with fish, purple with flowers for the florist, on a yellow background for postal workers in Caen. Those of a firefighter were made with yellow T-shirts with their logo. In 2 hours, the little family is able to take out a hundred masks. “The pre-assembly with the cut and the first seams, without the elastic,” says the mother again.

A city order for the start of the school year
Today, Céline has accepted, for the city of Ouistreham, to release 1,500 masks for all school students and college students, of all ages.
They should all be ready by May 11, but you can’t ask the kids that much, so I was allowed to be helped by a volunteer. I think I can take out 200 to 300 masks during a weekend.
