The shooting in an elementary school made 21 victims including 18 years old children in Uvale, Texas, last Tuesday. Among the survivors of this mass killing, Miah Cerrillo, who escaped death.
In an interview with CNN, the 11-year-old girl delivers a most chilling story. A student at the school, Miah is in class on this grim day watching a cartoon with her classmates and her teacher when the gunman, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, bursts into the school, heavily armed.
“It all happened so fast. He pushed the teacher back into the classroom. He made eye contact with her again, looked her straight in the eye and said goodnight, then shot and killed her.“, relate CNN.
The teenager then shoots the teacher a second time and then opens fire on the children. Miah will be hit by a bullet fragment in the shoulder and head, the channel says.
Salvador Ramos walks to another class and shoots again. He broadcasts”sad music on loudspeaker“, says the little girl.
Wounded but conscious, Miah then demonstrates great mastery to survive the massacre. She covers herself in the blood of one of her classmates before lying on top of her, in an attempt to pass herself off as dead.
