A Georgian woman living in our country rubbed our noses! She is shocked by the Bulgarian reality

Plovdiv24.bg we publish the opinion of a woman from Georgia who has been living in Plovdiv for some time. She wished to remain anonymous. She encountered things in Bulgaria that she did not understand, for which she was looking for answers. It also makes several comparisons between Bulgaria and Georgia. He also talks about an unpleasant experience in the Traffic Police in Plovdiv.

Here are her words:

I went to the UK in 2009. I returned to Bulgaria in November 2021. What I face every day puts me in total shock.

1. The roads are worse, much worse than the Georgian ones.

2. Lack of e-government – nothing happens online. I was shocked when I visited a migration office. It was as if I had returned in 1987 and it was as if the Soviet OVIR was serving me.

3. Traffic Police – Plovdiv – total exposure and catastrophe, not only the fact that it is located in a Roma neighborhood in the middle of a dump. The building is dirty and smelly and looks like a Baba Yaga cellar. The staff seems to have been living since 1989. Nothing has changed. I was guilty a priori of asking for information from the counter.

All these instances in Georgia work online. But, if you still prefer to go on site, the buildings are glass, polished, modernly equipped with friendly staff.

These are the things I have encountered personally. I learned to comment on what I see with my own eyes. I read a lot about the investments made during the management of Boyko Borisov. I will not mention EU grants. OK, people! I ask – where did this money go?
