A game of chess in prison, he was asked to read an English novel

Aftab Poonawala, who is in Tihar Jail in the Shraddha Walker murder case, has asked the prison authorities to read an English novel. Prison authorities told ANI news agency that Aftab was handed a travelogue by American novelist Paul Theroux, ‘The Great Railway Bazaar: By Train Through Asia’.

Officials also reported that Aftab is absorbed in playing chess most of his time in prison. Most of the time he plays alone, but sometimes he is accompanied by other inmates. He is very fond of chess and can be seen devising new strategies with hands on both sides. Aftab is very cunning. The bones are moved from both ends with subtle subtlety. Officials said Shraddha’s murder appears to be part of a conspiracy as deep as the movements in Chaturanga Palaka and that he has no qualms about his actions.

Aftab lives with two people who have been arrested for theft. Officials said they were instructed to monitor Aftab. Being an “obedient child” in prison comes well prepared for interrogation. Prison authorities said they would understand after hearing Aftab’s answers.

Affitb told police Shraddha’s body was cut up with a Chinese machete. The police informed that brain mapping will be done to know what is in Aftab’s mind. Officials said they are waiting for the DNA report and will decide on the brain mapping issue afterward.

Meanwhile, the police have reported that security has been increased in front of the prison where Aftab is staying. Security was stepped up after the police vehicle Aftab was traveling in was attacked as he was being brought back from the forensic lab.
