A four-storey parking house for 880 cars is being built in Černý Most

The parking house is being built on the site of the current car park number 1, ie at Chlumecká Street, a five-minute walk from the final station of route B Černý Most and within walking distance of shopping centers. Its capacity will be almost triple compared to today’s parking lot. A total of 94 seats are intended for cars with CNG / LPG, 22 seats for holders of a ZTP card and 8 for electric cars. The building will also have 38 cycling stations in a separately lockable space. The car park for approximately 500 million crowns should be ready next autumn, with the first cars parked in it at the beginning of 2022.

The future car park is to significantly improve conditions in the Černý Most housing estate, but also to relieve the center of Prague.

“This is one of Prague’s largest investments in P + R. Area and object P + R parking lots are important transport structures. Every car that is parked on the edge of the road to Prague counts. This relieves traffic in the center and improves the air and the environment in the capital. We will also continue to work on flat P + R car parks this year. We will open P + R Lipence, Hostivař 3 and Lednická Kyje, which is at least another 200 parking spaces, “described Adam Scheinherr, Deputy Mayor for Transport.

The original Černý Most I car park, where the parking house is now growing, had a capacity of 294 cars, the P + R Černý Most II car park will continue to operate.

“Prague 14 has been striving for many years for the construction of a car park that would offer residents and visitors of Černý Most a significantly larger number of parking spaces than has been the case so far. I am all the more pleased that almost daily complaints and suggestions from local people will finally be heard. The issue of insufficient parking space is one of the most frequently mentioned local topics, “explained the mayor of the Prague 14 district, Radek Vondra.

Part of the facade of the building is designed as green with climbing plants. As part of the construction, the existing entrance to the footbridge across Chlumecká Street will also be reconstructed. The total built-up area will be 7457 square meters.

“The construction will be made of reinforced concrete and due to the date of handing over the construction to the investor, the construction schedule will be considerably tight. The construction will also be logistically very complicated due to the close proximity of very busy roads from three sides of the building and the strict conditions regarding their restrictions, “added Martin Frič, project manager for Metrostav.
