A festival dedicated to the traditional Azerbaijani art of carpets was held

The National Carpet Museum of Azerbaijan, taking into account the importance of educating children in a spirit of love and respect for the material and cultural heritage of our country and its national values, and considering the role of education in the application of This constantly prepares new programs, gives master classes and executes joint projects with various educational institutions.

The Baku European Lyceum has recently held the VI Festival of Azerbaijani Cultural and Historical Traditions in the framework of a joint project with the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, AZERTAC at the Museum has been informed. The annual festival, held on various themes and dedicated to the World Day of Solidarity with Azerbaijanis, this time was dedicated to the traditional Azerbaijani art of carpets.

During the Festival, the videos prepared on carpets from various regions of our country, their characteristics, etc. by the students of the Baku European Lyceum were published on the Lyceum’s Facebook page and its YouTube channel, as well as on the Museum’s Children’s Department Facebook page, and were received with admiration by the audience.

Within the framework of the festival, specialists from the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum gave online lectures to students on the theme “Knowing and celebrating the Azerbaijani carpet”.

Thus, due to the pandemic, the first part of the project was carried out in a new format: online presentations for teachers and students, as well as for Museum specialists. The practical part of the project will be carried out in the future.
