A fatal accident with the participation of a patrolman happened near Zaporozhye

When overtaking, a patrolman in a private car drove into the oncoming lane and collided with another car there.
One person died in an accident near Zaporozhye, three more were injured. About this with reference to the RRG informs Ukrinform on Monday, April 19.
The incident occurred the day before at 19:30 on the Kharkiv-Simferopol highway. A 35-year-old employee of the Patrol Police Department in the Zaporozhye region was driving a personal Subaru Legacy car. When overtaking, he was not convinced of the safety of the maneuver and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Daewoo Nexia car.
“As a result of an accident, a 29-year-old passenger of a Subaru car died on the spot from her injuries. The driver of the Subaru and his 7-year-old son, as well as a 38-year-old passenger of a Daewoo car were hospitalized with bodily injuries. Fortunately, 1-year-old and 4- the summer passengers of Daewoo were not injured in the accident, “the RRB said.
The incident was preliminarily qualified under the article on traffic violations that resulted in the death of the victim. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.

It was also reported that in the Rivne region a man, while relaxing by the lake, ran over a friend… According to the breathalyzer, the driver’s blood alcohol content was 2.42 ppm. The hit victim died on the spot.
