The driver of a car drove into the tram tunnel in Prague’s Barrandov on Sunday evening. The car was driven by a foreigner who inhaled more than three per mille of alcohol during the follow-up inspection, said Prague police spokeswoman Violetta Siřišťová on Sunday.
The accident happened at the K Barrandovu tram stop in Prague 5. The car was towed by firefighters from the Radotín station and their colleagues from the transport company only after midnight with the help of a tram, because the scene of the accident was difficult to access for firefighting equipment.
The man is now awaiting charges in a pre-trial detention cell.
