A spectacular accident occurred on the night of Saturday to Sunday around 2 a.m. in Diksmuide. According to our colleagues from Nieuwsblad, a driver violently struck a tree. The violence of the impact was such that the driver got stuck in his vehicle.

Firefighters in the area had to intervene to save the victim. The latter was hospitalized. As of this writing, we do not know the severity of his injuries.
