What if Apple released a dual stand capable of accommodating two Pro Display XDR screens? This is the subject of a very serious patent application Apple released by the USPTO last week. We find the magnetic fixing system of the current Pro Stand, but with two locations on a horizontal bar held by two feet. The system offers multiple adjustment possibilities, in height, spacing and inclination, and the support bar even has a central hinge to be able to change the angle between the two screens.
The patent is very detailed, to the point that one wonders if Apple has not gone to the prototype stage. Such an accessory would in any case be absolutely overpriced, whereas the foot Pro Stand the much less complex Pro Display XDR screen already costs € 1,099. Unless it is intended for internal use, it is therefore unlikely to see the light of day.
