As a deadline loomed, Sandra Propetto began to reluctantly consider finding a farm-based boarding facility for Timmy, her 11-year-old miniature pig. Timmy, who has resided with Propetto for several years, now spends minimal time outdoors daily. His routine largely consists of indoor living, where he has established habits, including his own bed and toys, and spends much of his time sleeping, frequently enough nestled against his owner.
“I cannot fathom placing him on a farm. He is my baby; I am the only person he truly recognizes,” Propetto expressed with a sigh. “I would dearly love for him to be able to spend the remaining two or three years of his life with me.”
