Around 2,800 employees in Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Kassel put pressure on collective bargaining, as a spokeswoman for the Verdi union said in Frankfurt on Tuesday. Verdi wants to enforce a nationwide collective bargaining agreement for around 87,000 employees of the 130 public transport companies. It is about nationwide uniform regulations in questions such as the promotion of young talent and compensation for overtime and allowances for shift work. The municipal employers reject this according to union information. On Wednesday, according to the Verdi union, 6000 employees of the local transport companies in Hanover, Bremen, Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, Göttingen and Goslar were called to a warning strike in Bremen and Lower Saxony. North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg should be affected on Thursday. For Friday, Verdi extended the warning strike call to Berlin and Brandenburg, as the union announced on Tuesday. It was already clear that warning strikes would then also be pending in Bavaria. Eight federal states are affected this week. Local transport tariffs are currently being negotiated individually in the 16 federal states. Because the working conditions in the respective regions have therefore developed too far apart from the union’s point of view, the regional regulations should be supplemented by a nationwide one. The Association of Municipal Employers’ Associations (VKA) rejected this again on Tuesday. “The warning strikes are not only an imposition for the population, but also for the local transport companies plagued by the crisis, who have to cope with enormous revenue losses in the wake of the Corona crisis,” said the VKA. The deputy federal chairwoman of Verdi, Christine Behle, replied: “We will inform you about the warning strikes at an early stage so that citizens can adjust to the situation and organize alternatives.” © dpa-infocom, dpa: 201006-99-849432 / 3 – dpa employer Employers’ associations Citizen Local transport Wage disputes Collective bargaining Collective agreements Local public transport Publicity – – – Related posts:"Successful Easter Campaign for Children and Families Held by Brachbach Fire Brigade Support Associa...Behind cheap food, badly paid workSukmawati Soekarnoputri Decides to Change Religion, Here's the Family ResponseNo one knows how many non-zone homes Flanders hasShare this:FacebookX Related Judges feared miscarriage of justice, so Kočner and Zsuzs were released – ČT24 – Czech Television Unions at De Lijn hold a 24-hour strike on Friday, “irresponsible” according to management Leave a Comment Cancel replyCommentName Email Website Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
