César Gallego, one of the leaders in the world of restoration in A Coruña, has passed away. His heart stopped beating this morning at the age of 92. His family, especially his son, the chef Pablo Gallego, have received numerous expressions of affection since the news broke.
On his Facebook profile, Pablo also refers to his father as “a teacher and my best friend without a doubt.” The Coruña Cociña Association speaks of César as “a fighter and one of his honorary partners”. The renowned and beloved hotelier was the owner of the “Coral” Restaurant for more than sixty years.
