A Coruña: A Coruña is dedicated to the kitchen with the start of Atlántica Gastronómica | Radio Coruña

The festival begins ‘Atlántica Gastronómica’ in the Marina and El Parrote. A macro-event that makes A Coruña the capital of Galician cuisine until June 3.

It brings to the city a great variety of exhibitors, tastings, awards, lectures or workshops. There is also live music and activities for the little ones. Today DJ Sebastian and Birds & Cables perform.

It has a section aimed at all audiences and a specific one for experts. This last event –Atlántica Gastronomica Professional- It will be held – the next days June 2 and 3, Sunday and Monday, and will focus on gastronomic tourism, entrepreneurship and innovation in this sector in Galicia.

The showroom Palexco will host an event that will begin, at 10:00 am on Sunday, with a panel on gastronomic tourism moderated by Iñaki Gaztelumendi. In it, the chef of the restaurant from Lugo Spain, Hector Lopez; the manager of Adegas e Viñedos Vía Romana, Juan Luis Mendez, and some representatives of Tourism Rías Baixas.

That same day, as Atlántica Profesional indicates in a statement, there will be two championships, one for the meat grill and the other for ‘aeropress’ coffee. Both competitions will take place on the Palexco esplanade and will be open to the public.

The following day, the congress will continue with a panel on entrepreneurship and innovation moderated by Lalo Garcia. The representatives of the Wetaca company will participate, Efrén Álvarez and Andrés Casal; of Orballo Organic Teas, Gerardo Lagares; and La Casa de la Aldea will be Jose Luis Gomez.

Likewise, there will be two more championships: one on the fish grill and another, called Open International Dry Towers, in which mixologists and bartenders will participate.
