A comic to ‘fight’ breast cancer

‘In your breast, something more than pink’, aims to raise awareness about breast cancer.

Raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer research. That is the great objective of the book In your bosom, something more than rose, a project of the publishing house PostalKids who has not yet seen the light but who is waiting, through a campaign of crowdfunding and Verkami, to obtain the necessary financing so that it is possible.

Through the comic language and illustration, this project of the association In your bosom, has the collaboration of INCLIVA Institute, the Chair of Comic Studies at the University of Valencia, and the Official College of Physicians of Valencia, in addition to a long list of authors of comics and illustration, from big names with international success to new authors who launch their first projects. Among them stands out that of the Vila-Realense Paula Bonet, recognized with the Medal of Cultural Merit of the Valencian Generalitat in 2018, or that of national comic awards such as Paco Roca, Cristina Durán and Ana Penyas.

A total of 27 professionals will participate in the creation of this book, among which another from Castellón appears, such as that of Mafalda bellido. The playwright and actress from Alto Palancia will collaborate with Serrano serrano through his theater company The Zafirina with the text “Rose of the Winds”, which will feature illustrations by Laura Rico.

The publisher’s forecast is to present the book in October, as they have announced on the Verkami website that they have activated.
