NEW YORK, KOMPAS.com – The successor to the foldable phone Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3that is Galaxy Z Flip 4 has just been introduced in a virtual launch event which was held on Wednesday (10/8/2022) evening WIB.
Jam event online, Samsung is also holding physical events (offline) to invite media crews from all over the world to come and experience the first experience of trying Galaxy Z Flip 4.
KompasTekno became one of the media invited to the event titled “Samsung Galaxy Unpacked” which was held at an event venue in New York City, United States (US) on Wednesday morning local time.

Then, how does the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 look and what are the differences when compared to its predecessor Galaxy Z Flip 3?
Just like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 4, the design of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 at a glance is exactly the same as the Galaxy Z Flip 4. On the aspect of the screen, for example, the two phones both adopt the Dyamic AMOLED 2X panel which has a size of 6.7 inches. .
There is also a small 1.9-inch Super AMOLED secondary screen (Cover Screen) that can be used when the phone is folded.
However, if you look closely, bezel around the screen the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is actually thinner than the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

When the screen is stretched, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has dimensions of 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm, slightly shorter than the Galaxy Z Fold 3 with dimensions of 166 x 72.2 x 6.9 mm.
Then when folded, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has dimensions of 84.9 x 71.9 x 17.1 mm, slightly smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold 3 with dimensions of 86.4 x 72.2 x 17.1 mm.

This smaller dimension also reduces the bezel width around the Galaxy Z Flip 4 screen by about 0.3 mm. That way, the screen-to-body ratio of the phone is now claimed to reach 85.4 percent, bigger than the Galaxy Z Fold 3 with 84.7 percent.
