In Crimea, a climber fell off an 80-meter cliff and crashed to death. The incident took place on the southern coast of the peninsula in the Foros region on the Maly Kilse-Burun mountain range. This is reported by the “Ministry of Emergency Situations” of Crimea.
“A group of climbers climbed the route of the first category of difficulty. Their leader fell off the rope from a height of about 80 meters,” the message says.
The group called the rescuers and asked for help. Employees of the Yalta rescue squad Crimea-Spas arrived at the scene.
“Specialists of the Crimean rescue team found the body of the deceased at the foot of the mountain. Rescuers, using climbing equipment, removed it from an inaccessible place, and then handed it over to police officers. The remaining four climbers were evacuated from a steep cliff and taken to a safe place. They did not need medical assistance.” , – added in the “press service of the Ministry of Emergencies.”
