A five-year-old child was seriously injured Saturday evening after falling from the third floor of a building located place Flagey in Ixelles, said Brussels police, confirming information from RTL.
The child and his mother were taken to Saint-Luc Hospital.
“For the moment, we have no information on his state of health or on the circumstances of the facts,” said a spokesman for Brussels firefighters, Walter Derieuw, quoted by RTL.
The police opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident, which occurred around 7:00 p.m.
According to the first indications available, no malicious intent has been identified.
