A patrol of police officers surprised a driver on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in Lyon, at the level of the Vienne road.
At about 4:30 a.m., on the axis between Vénissieux and the 8th arrondissement of Lyon, the officers witnessed the suspect’s dangerous behavior, which multiplied traffic violations. But when officials got closer to the vehicle, the driver chose to flee.
The chase did not last very long since the driver crashed into a car, once arrived on Avenue Berthelot, this time in the 7th arrondissement. In the collision, which heavily damaged at least one of the vehicles involved according to witnesses, a child was injured. According to the first elements of the investigation, the latter was installed in the car rammed by the fugitive.
According to the fire brigade of the Rhône, the young victim was taken care of by rescue workers in relative emergency, and transported to the hospital Woman Mother Child of Bron. The child’s life was not life-threatening at the time.
The driver responsible for the accident, just 18 years old, was arrested and taken into custody. Also according to our information, he is not a holder of a driver’s license. It is not yet known if he was driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. An investigation has been launched.
