Tachycardia is a rapid heartbeat, more than 100 beats per minute. It usually occurs during stress, anxiety or fear, or during physical exertion, but if the person is healthy, then gradually the heartbeat returns to normal.

Typically, with tachycardia, the following symptoms appear: shortness of breath, dizziness, sudden weakness, tremors in the chest, lightheadedness, and confusion.

Any symptoms require a full examination. So play it safe – tell your doctor right away if you experience an irregular heartbeat.

To prevent tachycardia at home, you should lead a healthy lifestyle: proper nutrition, physical activity and rejection of bad habits.
