A Brimob Dies Persecuted by OTK in Jayawijaya Papua, 2 Weapons Missing

KOMPAS.com-A member of the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) died after being a victim of persecution in Napua, Jayawijaya Regency, Papuaon Saturday (18/6/2022) at 17.00 WIT.

Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said the dead victim was Bripda Diego Rumaropen.

“Currently, the body has been taken to Wamena Hospital,” said Mathius, Saturday night, as reported by Between.

In addition to molesting Diego, the attacker, whose identity has not yet been identified, also took off with an AK101 shoulder gun and an SSG08 shoulder gun.

The incident occurred when the victim accompanied the Danki Brimob Yon D Wamena AKP R shot a cow in Napua.

After shooting the cow, AKP R then left the firearm he was carrying with the victim, before taking the cow he shot.

Moments later, an unknown person came and immediately assaulted the victim by using a sharp weapon and taking the firearm he was carrying.

“It is not yet known who the perpetrator is, because members of Wamena are still investigating it,” said Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri.
