This Wednesday, Guilherme Silva signed a professional contract with Sporting, after two and a half years at the Academy, where he arrived from AD Oeiras. Last season, the 17-year-old central defender was national youth champion and this season he has been playing in the next level, the juniors, where he has played 10 games for Pedro Coelho’s team.
«It’s something I’ve wanted for a long time and I’ve been working to achieve this goal. Representing a club of this size is always a huge responsibility and now I am even more aware of it», Guilherme Silva told the club’s television channel.
