Wolverhampton made official, this Wednesday, the hiring of the Japanese international Hayao Kawabe, who played at Grasshoppers.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder played 18 games in Switzerland, scoring four goals and making three assists. In 2021, he made his debut for the Japan national team, against South Korea, and since then, he has won three more internationals, having scored the first goal in the victory over Tajikistan, in the qualifying phase for the Qatar-2022 World Cup.
The Japanese international midfielder signs from @gc_zuerich on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Hayao is expected to return on loan to complete the season in Switzerland ?after spending January in the Black Country.
