A BOLA – Grujic denied Sporting and Rúben Amorim (FC Porto)

Grujic opted for FC Porto even after being contacted by Sporting by Rúben Amorim. Even before joining Liverpool, where he spent just over a week, Grujic alone resisted what would be a major market coup.

Sporting’s interest, which appeared in the news with little expression, was really strong, because it was headed by Rúben Amorim. Noticing a dubious scenario in the Porto house with many pieces on the board, between Sérgio Conceição’s entry and exit door in midfield, the coach of the lions tried to motivate the Serbian international to join the Leon project, an alternative to Palhinha or Matheus Nunes. But the pretension quickly vanished, because Grujic, even though he was very cordial, disarmed these intentions with an enlightening sign that he only had one will for 2021/2022: to go back to being a dragon, choosing to wait and give security of movement to the FC Porto, within its financial constraints.
