Fans involved in the accident happily swam to shore and did not need medical attention. Rescuers arrived ashore at the scene and pulled out the boat that had drowned in the accident.
Meanwhile, fans of the Latvian national hockey team, including fans who got into the water, went to a meeting with hockey players.
The World Championship in Finland will run until May 29. The Latvian national team will play in its subgroup in Tampere.
