A battle of billions is raging in Flanders, right in front of your door. Telenet and Proximus are in a bit of a fight to offer you the fastest internet. Proximus is investing five billion euros and will throw open the entire country in the coming years to lay fiber optic cables to your home. Telenet is on the defensive and has to hurry to catch up. But what’s in it for us, other than a broken-open footpath and a higher bill?
