A 56-year-old Lisantais struck by a train on the TER Chartres-Paris line, in Amilly

A 56-year-old Luirais man died on Monday June 22, 2020, around 12:30 p.m., in Amilly. This fifties was struck by a train running in the direction of Chartres, on the TER Paris-Chartres-Le Mans line.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the man would have jumped voluntarily from the bridge of Amilly, located on the ring road of Chartres, on the railroad track. The suicide hypothesis is preferred. The train came to a stop in the town of Lucé, in the Poiffonds district.

Buses for travelers

Rail traffic was interrupted for two hours. The SNCF took care of the travelers by transporting them by bus, by shuttle, to the Chartres station. The firefighters, a medical team from Samu 28, the municipal police of Lucé, the national police and experts from the scientific police were mobilized.
