One person died this morning in an accident on the N34, another victim was injured. It concerns a 54-year-old woman from Vries. Three cars and a truck were involved in the accident.
The road was closed all morning. As a result of the accident, a traffic jam occurred on the N34, both in the direction of Groningen and in the direction of Gieten. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
The accident occurred near Zuidlaren. Firefighters, several ambulances and the mobile medical team, among others, arrived at the scene of the accident to provide assistance. For one of the victims, that help came too late.
