A death and more than 40 patients are already confirmed in a new London legionellose hatching, according to the Middlesex-London Public Health Bureau.
This is the Second outbreak of respiratory disease in London Since last summer. The health authorities said in a statement on Tuesday that most of the cases lived or worked within a radius of six kilometers in the south-east of the city.
However, the Middlesex-London public health office says it ignores whether the current home is in the same place as the Legionellosis home from last year.
Ontario public health, Ontario public health laboratories and London health services are investigating to determine the source of hatching.
Health services specify that the risk for the population is low, and do not recommend the regular port of masks throughout the community.
Authorities nevertheless recognize that wearing masks can reduce the risk of infection.

Although it can lead to death, the legionellosis is not transmitted from one person to another.
Bacteria legionella pneumophiliaat the origin of the disease, naturally live in water sources such as jacuzzis, cooling towers, hot water tanks, large plumbing systems or pieces of air conditioning systems.
Bacteria responsible for legionaries’ disease can develop in cooling towers installed on the roofs of many large buildings to regulate the temperature. They then propagate in the ventilation ducts.

Health authorities call anyone with symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath to consult a doctor. Business owners and real estate managers are also called upon to ensure that all cooling equipment is regularly maintained and disinfected in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Last year’s hatching was located in the east of the city and had resulted in two dead and 30 infections.
