The 20-year-old Afghan YouTube star is among the victims of the terrorist attack in front of Kabul International Airport. This was said by colleagues of Naima Sadeki to CNN. At least 170 Afghans were killed in the atrocities as they desperately fled the country.
Sadeki was in her final year of study at the Institute of Journalism in Kabul. She recently joined the Afghan channel Insider on YouTube, whose videos have garnered more than 24 million views. They give a weekly look at the lives of young people in the troubled country.
“I worked and earned enough to pay for my daily expenses and education,” Sadeki said in his latest video. “Most families in the city are just waiting for food for the day to survive now.”
