On December 18, the mother of a 13-year-old girl filed a complaint with a police station in Vienna because her daughter had confided in her that she had been raped by an unknown boy in an apartment on December 6 at around 2 pm.
16-year-old arrested on rape charges in Vienna
Police officers went to the apartment in Vienna-Leopoldstadt where the crime is said to have taken place. The alleged perpetrator was found there and taken away for questioning.
The 16-year-old Syrian national was arrested and denies all charges. He was known to the victim only under an assumed name, many circumstances are still unclear, according to the police. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office has taken over the investigation.
