The massacre took place in a neighborhood near Alicante, Spain. A 15-year-old teenager went on a rampage after his parents banned him from using the Internet, watching television or hanging out with friends.
Forced to do housework due to his poor grades at school, Santi took his grandfather’s rifle and opened fire on his mother. He also killed his brother with a bullet in the back before shooting his father when the latter returned home.
The events took place last February. Santi then lived with their bodies hidden for several days in his home, the Daily Mail reports. In order not to discover the horror, he had faked a coronavirus infection to stop going to school. Finally, it was to his aunts, worried that they would no longer hear from him, that the teenager confessed to his crimes.
Santi was sentenced to six years in prison. Although experts conclude that this is a willful crime that the young man does not regret, this is the maximum penalty for an individual of his age.
