On August 11, Xiaomi will celebrate its 10th anniversary. And to celebrate, the brand’s co-founder, Lei Jun, will give a speech that will be webcast. By the way, Xiaomi is expected to present new smartphones. In a previous post, we talked about new Redmi devices that the company could present for its 10e anniversary.
And in addition to these Redmi smartphones, Xiaomi could also expand its offer on the top of the range by unveiling a more efficient version of the Mi 10 Pro. In a previous article, we indicated that this smartphone could be called Mi 10 Pro Plus. But in the media, other names are mentioned, such as Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition or Mi 10 Ultra.
Anyway, one of the evolutions brought by this or these model (s) may have just leaked. Indeed, according to a source which is relayed by our colleagues at GSMArena, Xiaomi could launch a model capable of producing a 120x zoom.

The images above also corroborate other rumors that had indicated that Xiaomi would offer a version with a transparent back (or which would appear to be transparent).
A competitor to the Galaxy S20 Ultra and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
By launching a smartphone with a 120x Hybrid Zoom, Xiaomi would directly challenge Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra. As a reminder, one of the Korean giant’s arguments for selling the S20 Ultra was the “Space Zoom” which allows for 100x enlargements. For his part, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, which has just been presented by Samsung, has a 50x zoom.
And like the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, this new top-of-the-range smartphone from Xiaomi is also expected to have a 108-megapixel main camera.
Xiaomi: good performance despite the crisis?
In any case, Xiaomi can, for the moment, congratulate itself on its performance in 2020 in Europe. As we explained to you in a previous article, in the second quarter, the Chinese manufacturer observed an increase in its shipments on the continent. Xiaomi also has huge success in France, where it is now considered number 2, behind Samsung.
The manufacturer’s sales are not only boosted by high-end smartphones, but also by mid-range models, such as the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which are very popular.
