A 12-year-old child drowned on Tuesday evening in a private swimming pool in Montauban. The firefighters were called a little before 8 p.m. on the Vignarnaud road, south of the city.
It was the victim’s sister who found her in the swimming pool. The father unsuccessfully attempted cardiac massage, the firefighters then took over for more than an hour, but the child died. This is the first summer drowning event according to the firefighters of Tarn-et-Garonne.
