Caen, France – Rising French artist Pierre Garnier has affirmed that Helena Bailly‘s song, Everything has changed (nothing has changed), accurately captures the paradoxical experience of navigating newfound fame. The confirmation comes as Garnier, 23, prepares to conclude a sold-out tour of over 100 dates, beginning with his initial performances in caen.
Garnier rose to prominence following his appearance on Star Academy and is currently nominated for Best French Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards. In a recent interview with 7 Days TV, the Calvados native discussed the whirlwind of the past two years, acknowledging the challenges of adjusting to public life. He admitted the period following Star Academy “was sometimes arduous to manage,” citing the intensity of emotions and balancing touring with personal projects.
Bailly’s song explores the life changes brought on by increased notoriety,a theme Garnier readily connected with. When asked by the journalist if his interpretation of the song’s meaning was correct, Garnier responded emphatically, “No not at all!”
He emphasized his continued focus on maintaining a sense of normalcy, stating, “My goal was above all to make music…The most important thing for me is to feel good, to go home, to spend time with my friends, to remain who I have always been.” Garnier believes his relatability is key to his connection with fans, adding, “I think the public follows me as I’m a simple person, that they see themselves a little in me.”
Garnier’s success includes an upcoming performance with Les Enfoirés in January 2025 and a close friendship with Bailly, with whom he collaborated on her single. He is currently enjoying the final leg of his tour and preparing for future musical endeavors.
