Erie, PA – Lauren Myrick, a former student-athlete at Gannon University, has been recognized as a “Made in the PSAC” honoree as part of the Pennsylvania state Athletic Conference’s 75th Anniversary party. Myrick is one of 300 individuals selected from across the conference’s history.
the PSAC, founded in 1951 as the Pennsylvania State teachers Colleges Athletic Conference (PSTC), has evolved into one of the NCAA’s largest conferences, encompassing institutions throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia, including Commonwealth university-Bloomsburg, Commonwealth University-Lock Haven, Commonwealth University-Mansfield, East Stroudsburg University, Gannon University, indiana University of Pennsylvania, Kutztown University, Millersville University, Pennsylvania western University California, Pennsylvania Western University clarion, Pennsylvania Western University Edinboro, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Seton Hill University, Shepherd University, Shippensburg University, Slippery Rock University, and West Chester University.
myrick competed in both swimming and water polo at Gannon from 2008-2011, serving as swim team captain for two seasons and participating in water polo in 2009 and 2010. She also held the position of President of the Gannon Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and later returned to Gannon as an assistant swim coach.
Currently, Myrick operates a Coaching and Consulting Firm in North Carolina, working as a Peak Performance & Mindset Coach, speaker, and Workshop Facilitator. “I blend my business experience and process expertise with Emotional Intelligence, Coaching, and mental Health tools to deliver massive breakthroughs for my clients – helping them to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives,” she stated.
Myrick’s accomplishments include certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, an Advanced PSYCH-K Facilitator of Energy Psychology, and a Trauma Informed Mental Health Specialist. She is a former Global Leadership and Growth Director and has been featured as an expert in the Wall Street Journal three times.
The 300 “Made in the PSAC” honorees were chosen through a nomination and selection process involving institutions and a dedicated committee comprised of institutional and PSAC staff.
